About the Journal

Soeharso Orthopaedic Journal (SOJ) is a peer-reviewed and open-access scientific journal published by Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital. The journal is issued twice a year (May and November) and serves as a platform for disseminating scientific work in orthopedics, musculoskeletal sciences, trauma care, prosthetics & orthotics, and rehabilitation medicine, particularly in the context of developing countries.

SOJ encourages submissions addressing clinical, scientific, and technological challenges in orthopedic practice. Topics include bone and joint surgery, trauma management, sports and spine medicine, physical therapy, rehabilitation technology, and innovations in orthopedic diagnostics.

Submissions from clinicians, surgeons, researchers, and academicians are highly encouraged. Priority is given to original research presenting new insights, updated clinical approaches, or regionally impactful findings. Manuscripts not adhering to the journal’s ethical and formatting guidelines may be returned prior to peer review.

All submissions must be made exclusively through the SOJ OJS system. Articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 license and preserved through LOCKSS and CLOCKSS to ensure long-term digital archiving.

SOJ has initiated the indexing application process to DOAJ and SINTA as of 2026.

The editorial board does not issue a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) outside the official notification sent through the OJS system.
